About Me Now
Matthew is married to his wonderful wife Amanda Connerton and lives in the foothills of North Carolina with two kittens and their soon to be pony.
Matthew first started getting into computers when he was able to pull apart old parts he found and build his first when he was 10 years old. After that Matthew dabbled with computer hardware, building and learning the inner workings of computers. Once in high school, he started to play less and less with hardware, and get more involved with internet technologies.
After graduating high school Matthew work in a recording studio managing the computers systems and hosting recording session. Later when he went off to college, he decided that computer science and the internet was the way to go.
After learning php and flash, Matthew started creating websites here and there while taking college classes. Later when he left college he was approached by his pastor who had a vision for a new kind of web hosting company. That's when they started Divine Websites. They became affiliates with a website template company and began creating websites for churches and ministries.
Along side Divine Websites, Matthew has continued to do freelance development. In March 2008, He decided to dive into the wonderful world of Rich Internet Applications and started learning Flex. He has since been working on different projects creating rich user applications for the web and desktop.
Finally in 2009, he was introduced to Drupal, a robust content management system. After realizing the potential it had, he has been working with Drupal and studying it ever since.
